After 22 years of experience in financial services, I decided to create The Hokus Platform, a digital wealthtech solution that allows private banks to centralize and simplify the management of their life insurance contracts.
The Hokus Platform’s idea: to give private banks the key to staying ahead of the game in a competitive market
The trigger
When I was head of La Mondiale Europartner, we started developing a digital tool for our private banker clients. Infused with confidence, we presented them with our solution, designed to centralize and digitize the management of their contracts linked to our products. Their answer was clear:
“Your solution is interesting, but our clients also subscribe to other insurers’ products. We would need a single digital platform for all our life insurance providers.“
That’s when I realized that, in order to offer an attractive product to their clients, private bankers need to have a wide range of products from different insurers. They therefore need a single solution to simplify the management of all their offers, regardless of the provider.

The trigger
When I was head of La Mondiale Europartner, we started developing a digital tool for our private banker clients. Infused with confidence, we presented them with our solution, designed to centralize and digitize the management of their contracts linked to our products. Their answer was clear:
“Your solution is interesting, but our clients also subscribe to other insurers’ products. We would need a single digital platform for all our life insurance providers.“
That’s when I realized that, in order to offer an attractive product to their clients, private bankers need to have a wide range of products from different insurers. They therefore need a single solution to simplify the management of all their offers, regardless of the provider.
The product and its promise
This is how the concept of The Hokus Platform was born: a platform to connect all life insurance distributors with private banking players.
For a private bank, administrating life insurance means:
- 3 to 10 different employees;
- Several hundred forms sometimes filled out by hand and exchanged by e-mail;

By 2021, 14 private banks had adopted our solution.

The choice to set up an insurtech in Luxembourg
One of the “know-hows” in Luxembourg is to export life insurance. Moreover, by setting up our business there, we benefit from its regulation by the Commissariat aux Assurances and can offer additional guarantees to our clients. So what better place to create the solution that connects life insurance and private bankers than Luxembourg?
As of May 2021, we have also obtained the certification of Insurance Sector Professional (ISP). Thus, Luxembourg hosts our operational and commercial activity, but also our data. This allows us to offer a reliable and secure solution that respects professional secrecy.
